remotes

We seem to have an ongoing problem in our house, with remotes. People use them, then leave them laying where ever, for the little one to get a hold of. Trust me, she CAN hide things good (been looking for the remote for the last two days now). Either she hides them, or people use them, and they get wedged in the sectional (its like the twilight zone, when things go in there, they dont come out for a verrryy long time). What I am wondering, is if anyone has any ideas on things to do with remotes, so that I dont spend all my time looking for it when I need it????? Tracie

When my kids were little, I tied the remote to the leg of the coffee table with a piece of decorative ribbon. Might not be the best "decorator" look, but saved a lot of hassles! Now I have all my remotes in a little decorative box... sort of a treasure box kinda thing. Keeps them all corralled and out of sight when not needed, yet still fits in with my decor. Linda Stolz

On Saturday, Jan 1, 2005, at 14:57 US/Eastern, Isaac & Tracie Vilcu I was in an office supply store a few weeks ago and found the answer to this problem. You've seen those tethered pens that have a little puck you glue to a surface, a pen and a coiled cable between them. They have them now that have a puck at both ends of the cable--stick one end to the table, the other to whatever it is you want to not leave. Mine is being used to attach my chuck key to my drill press. -- --jmowreader High quality hot dogs come eight in a package. If you're wondering why hot dogs come in packs of 10 and buns in packs of 8, it's because you're a skinflint.
